Big Boy, Worlds Largest Steam Locomotive Passing UP 844 ! 3 Train Meet! Video
Big Boy and Union Pacific 844 passing each other. Largest steam locomotive in the world passing UP 844 in the railroad yard at Ogden Utah. The Big Boy steam locomotive was also passed by a freight train and Front Runner commuter trains. The steam locomotives were being positioned for the ceremony taking place at Ogden Union Station. This steam locomotive was recently restored to celebrate the 150th anniversary of the completion of the Transcontinental Railroad in 1869! I filmed this on May 8, 2019 at 2:44pm.The locomotives were separated and run around each other in front of hundreds of people. More videos of Big Boy to come, including scenes in Weber and Echo Canyons! Union Pacific has about 50-60 freight trains a day through Echo Canyon and use 160.515 as their main frequency there.
