Weirdest Railroad Crossing Ever! 1898 Rail! Dangerous Exempt Crossing Short Line Action, Mason Ohio Video

Weirdest Railroad Crossing In Ohio & 1898 Rail On Main Track! Short line railroad in Ohio revisit. This industrial spur is an Indiana & Ohio Railway branch that runs from Middletown, Ohio to Mason, Ohio. It has a rare exempt railroad crossing that is controlled by traffic signals for autos and lineside signals for trains. This train is reversing after working customers at the end of the line. Some of the rail was rolled by Carnegie in 1898 as you will see and is on the main track!! Okay, where have you seen that?! We also see the huge 700 WLW antenna in Mason. First the train has to stop traffic at a cross buck protected crossing with the conductor riding on a freight car. That's cool but wait until you see the next crossing! The next crossing is the exempt crossing with the interesting signal system that I showed recently with a train going through the snow. Remember that video? This time the train is reversing through the crossing and a few impatient cars go right on through. Watch the conductor when he gets off the train and watches for his lineside signal to go green. The signal is just to the left of him and when it goes green he walks out into the intersection knowing that all of the traffic signals are red. Exempt crossings are crossings that buses and trucks that normally stop at all crossings are not supposed to stop at unless the lights are red. It is safer for them to proceed on through since there are very few trains and the traffic is always very heavy. EXEMPT DOES NOT MEAN THE TRACKS ARE NOT IN USE!! I show a closeup of the 1898 rail and the slideshow outro pertains to this video. Filmed March 2, 2021. Thanks for watching!

About the Site 🌐

This site provides links to random videos hosted at YouTube, with the emphasis on random. πŸŽ₯

Origins of the Idea 🌱

The original idea for this site stemmed from the need to benchmark the popularity of a video against the general population of YouTube videos. 🧠

Challenges Faced πŸ€”

Obtaining a large sample of videos was crucial for accurate ranking, but YouTube lacks a direct method to gather random video IDs.

Even searching for random strings on YouTube doesn't yield truly random results, complicating the process further. πŸ”

Creating Truly Random Links πŸ› οΈ

The YouTube API offers additional functions enabling the discovery of more random videos. Through inventive techniques and a touch of space-time manipulation, we've achieved a process yielding nearly 100% random links to YouTube videos.

About YouTube πŸ“Ί

YouTube, an American video-sharing website based in San Bruno, California, offers a diverse range of user-generated and corporate media content. 🌟

Content and Users 🎡

Users can upload, view, rate, share, and comment on videos, with content spanning video clips, music videos, live streams, and more.

While most content is uploaded by individuals, media corporations like CBS and the BBC also contribute. Unregistered users can watch videos, while registered users enjoy additional privileges such as uploading unlimited videos and adding comments.

Monetization and Impact πŸ€‘

YouTube and creators earn revenue through Google AdSense, with most videos free to view. Premium channels and subscription services like YouTube Music and YouTube Premium offer ad-free streaming.

As of February 2017, over 400 hours of content were uploaded to YouTube every minute, with the site ranking as the second-most popular globally. By May 2019, this figure exceeded 500 hours per minute. πŸ“ˆ
