KIA Sportage ma prawie 30 lat, a do salonów trafiła właśnie jej piąta generacja. Z generacji na generację KIA Sportage wygląda coraz ciekawiej. W Polsce znamy ją od drugiej generacji w górę, kiedy wyglądała identycznie, jak Hyundai Tucson. Potem Tucson przez jedną generację nazywał ix35 i ciszej nad tą trumną. Rok temu na rynek trafiła 4 generacja Tucsona i spodziewałem się, że w nowa KIA Sportage będzie w dużej mierze tym samym zestawem części, w nieco innej obudowie. Tak, ale na szczęście nie do końca. Parę lat temu Hyundai i KIA tłumaczyły różnice między markami w taki sposób: Hyundai to marka dla statecznego, dojrzałego klienta, a KIA to marka bardziej młodzieżowa. Dziś ten podział przestał obowiązywać, bo obie marki z modelu na model zdają się prześcigiwać w odważniejszych projektach.
