A video similar to this that's more recent!! "My Testimony of God" https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pbpbVIgt8Uc

COMMENT BELOW your favorite drawing in this video OR your favorite part of my life that I shared! Thank you so much for being a part of my YouTube family & providing me with this safe, loving place to be honest & to be myself. I love you all so, so much!
1. I cried 3 times while writing the script for this video.
2. I pulled two all-nighters while making this (+ lots of sleep-deprivation!)
3. I listened to every Taylor Swift song on my iPhone (98 songs!!) twice during one of the days when I was drawing.
4. I drew the last part (college apps through the end) RIGHT BEFORE I left for the airport for Thailand.
5. It took me an hour and a half to record the voiceovers.
6. I had to re-edit the first 5 minutes of this video in a brand new project, because my editing software had a glitch & wouldn't save the project.
7. This took me hundreds of hours to make!!! Just like this video from last summer: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=djeCoC1PiR8

STUFF that got edited out so that this wouldn't be 5 hours long:
1. I quit viola when we moved to Florida, because my new middle school didn't have an orchestra program. I would have continued with a private tutor, but my ballet lessons were mega-expensive since I was at this intensive studio, so my parents told me I had to choose to either quit viola or ballet and I chose to continue ballet. Making that decision made me cry so much, because I loved both art forms.
2. I actually became vegetarian in May 2011 after watching Food Ink in my high school Philosophy class. Downloading this calorie counter app to track my iron ended up spiraling me into my insecure-trying-to-lose-weight phase. I stopped being vegetarian in June, because I thought not paying attention to what food I was eating would be safer. I uploaded a video about all of this in August 2011, but deleted it in the Spring of the next year because I thought it was too personal. Comment below if you remember that video!
3. For those of you wondering, my parents took me to psychologists/a psychiatrist for family counseling, not because I had any mental health problem. A lot of the arguing was me being prideful, but I realized over Christmas break that it wasn't all my fault and that a lot of the hurt I experienced wasn't caused by only me. But~ what's past is past. And I am so blessed to have the family that I do.

About the Site ๐ŸŒ

This site provides links to random videos hosted at YouTube, with the emphasis on random. ๐ŸŽฅ

Origins of the Idea ๐ŸŒฑ

The original idea for this site stemmed from the need to benchmark the popularity of a video against the general population of YouTube videos. ๐Ÿง

Challenges Faced ๐Ÿค”

Obtaining a large sample of videos was crucial for accurate ranking, but YouTube lacks a direct method to gather random video IDs.

Even searching for random strings on YouTube doesn't yield truly random results, complicating the process further. ๐Ÿ”

Creating Truly Random Links ๐Ÿ› ๏ธ

The YouTube API offers additional functions enabling the discovery of more random videos. Through inventive techniques and a touch of space-time manipulation, we've achieved a process yielding nearly 100% random links to YouTube videos.

About YouTube ๐Ÿ“บ

YouTube, an American video-sharing website based in San Bruno, California, offers a diverse range of user-generated and corporate media content. ๐ŸŒŸ

Content and Users ๐ŸŽต

Users can upload, view, rate, share, and comment on videos, with content spanning video clips, music videos, live streams, and more.

While most content is uploaded by individuals, media corporations like CBS and the BBC also contribute. Unregistered users can watch videos, while registered users enjoy additional privileges such as uploading unlimited videos and adding comments.

Monetization and Impact ๐Ÿค‘

YouTube and creators earn revenue through Google AdSense, with most videos free to view. Premium channels and subscription services like YouTube Music and YouTube Premium offer ad-free streaming.

As of February 2017, over 400 hours of content were uploaded to YouTube every minute, with the site ranking as the second-most popular globally. By May 2019, this figure exceeded 500 hours per minute. ๐Ÿ“ˆ
