Many of us are swing traders - we are looking for trends to jump on. This is a good way to jump on a strong trend. The main thing about this strategy is that it stops us chasing a market. Market has to be liquid whether its a large cap stock, major pair or index.
1) Market makes a new 20 day high. (a way of gauging strength)
2) Wait for a 4-day pullback.
3) The 5th day closes above the 4th close. (now we're waiting for the end of the pullback)
4) Buy at close.
5) Stop = low of day 5, -10 pips
6) Target = Stop x 3.
Very simple, very methodical. You might want to add an ADX or stochastic as an additional filter.
