How to Set Up Your Data for Independent or Repeated Measures t Tests in SPSS (11-8) Video
We now know two kinds of t tests to use for comparing groups, but it is essential that we set up our data for the type of test we will use. Data are structured (or entered) differently in SPSS when you are doing an independent samples t test versus a repeated measures t test. If you set up (or “structure”) your data wrong, you will not be able to run the test that you want to run. You should decide what test you will run before you enter data in SPSS.
