देश की दिग्गज कारोबारी समूह टाटा अपने टेलिकॉम बिजनेस को समेटने की तैयारी कर रही है। टाटा समूह ने शनिवार को अधिकारिक तौर पर ट्वीट करके भारत सरकार/ डीओटी को सूचित किया है कि वह टाटा टेलीसर्विसेज (टाटा डोकोमो) को बंद करने जा रही है। कंपनी ने बताया है कि टेलिकॉम सर्विसेज को बंद करने की तैयारी शुरु हो चुकी है। संभव है कि अगले हफ्ते में वह टाटा डोकोमो की स्थायी सेवा बंद कर दे। वहीं कंपनी सूत्रों की माने तो टाटा समूह की टेलीकॉम सर्विसेज यूनिट लंबे समय से घाटे में चल रही है। इस यूनिट को बेचने में असफल रहने के बाद चेयरमैन एन. चंद्रशेखरन अब इस कारोबार को समेटने पर ही विचार कर रहे हैं।
