Steam Locomotive Returns! Hocking Valley Scenic Railway! First Steam In 3 Years! 1920 Baldwin Video
Rare And Historic Video! Riding a steam train and chasing a steam train on Hocking Valley Scenic Railway. 1920 Baldwin steam locomotive pulling a passenger train for the first time in 3 years. This historical railway branch line is ex Chesapeake & Ohio Railroad and runs from Nelsonville, Ohio to East Logan, Ohio. Historic company town of Haydenville is also included in this video. The switching action at East Logan is shown which shows how the locomotive runs around the train for the reverse trip to Nelsonville. The short passenger train also stopped on the campus of Hocking College. Passengers detrained there for 45 minutes to tour the historic log cabins and displays. The train is seen crossing several railroad crossings, crossing a couple huge trestles and there are views from the train and a pacing shot of the train going along a highway.
