Let's take a look at the new Minecraft 1.11 Snapshot (16w39a & 16w39b) for "The Exploration Update" and run down the list of new features & fixes added, including pet Llamas (that spit & scare Wolves) the new "beast of burden" pack mount found with 4 coat colors that you can tame, saddle with 16 carpet patterns, ride, & lead in a caravan to transport items, Shulkers dropping Shulker Shells to craft Shulker Boxes that act as backpack chests in 16 colors, Cartographer Villagers that can sell Treasure Maps that lead to hidden structures such as the Woodland Mansion, a new giant end-game dungeon with tons of room combinations that has 3 new monster mobs living inside: the "Illagers", which include an axe-wielding Vindicator & the spell-casting Evoker (which drops a Totem of Undying to save players from death), as well as their ghostly imp summon the Vex. There's also new sound effects for the Llama, Zombie Villager, Vindicator, Evoker, & Vex, "Return Portals" in the End Islands, a /locate command for finding structures, Cursed Enchantments with Binding & Vanishing effects, the Observer block from MCPE, plus cool secrets like naming a Vindicator "Johnny" & the Evoker "Wololo" spell when a Blue Sheep is near, and of course plenty of bug fixes.
