What is CTC in Salary?
CTC means Cost To Company. In India CTC also referred to as the CTC package is a term often used by almost all private-sector HR and companies in India.
When the company selected the candidate they issue an offer letter or letter of intent with that they give the remuneration of salary package information in that CTC, Gross salary, and sometimes in hand salary also mentioned.
Employees or job seekers often fall into the trap set by employers or corporates, they disclose the CTC.
As they have added few things which they pay in certain conditions so their take-home salary comes less every month. Due to people don't know much about the cost to the company, the Gross salary employer tend to hide the full salary break up.
There are multiple deductions from your CTC and gross salary after that you get take-home salary which is called net salary or in-hand salary
First comes CTC, then a few deductions later comes the Gross salary, and then a few more deductions later come to the NET salary which basically the amount you get in your bank account.

Salary Structure includes many components like:
1.Basic, DA, HRA, conveyance allowances, city compensatory allowance, special allowances, etc. are part of the Fixed salary component.
2. Performance-based Incentives may be based on Performance sales or profit. These are the part of the Variable Salary Component.
3. Reimbursements or Reimburshable includes conveyance, medical, telephone, etc. in your salary component.
4.Statutory benefits offered by the company or contribution paid like Provident Fund, ESI, Statutory Bonus, etc. comes under employer contributions in your salary components.
