How to Build a Ground Level Floating Deck - Part 5 of 5 Video
Check out how I made this low, ground level, floating deck for the front entryway of our house. I had never built a deck before, but it was a fairly simple project, and it turned out great!
This is Part 5 where I show you how I protected the tops of all my joist boards with an adhesive rubber coating, why I started installing the decking boards from the front of the deck towards the house, how I spaced my decking boards, how I straightened out some of the bowed decking boards with a wood clamp made out of scrap 2x4s, and how I installed the last couple of boards up against the house for a seamless look.
