Tiger Snake less scary than the Leech Swarm while prospecting for gold sapphires garnets with kids

We snuck in a last minute camping/prospecting trip before school went back. This river has gold, garnets and sapphires. Turns out it also has Tiger Snakes but that wasn't the thing that scared us. Swarns of Voracious Blood Sucking Tiger Leeches.
