This might be a surprise to some, but there is actually no such thing as a pineapple tree because pineapples don't grow on trees! Pineapples actually grow out of the ground from a stocky leaves of a pineapple plant. Pineapple plant is almost like a bush plant, but pineapple plant has elongated stocky leaves, it looks like a bigger version of a pineapple top or pineapple crown.
