Yes, you can be a Sims 4 mermaid. The Sims 4: Island Living is the next Sims 4 DLC, announced at EA Play (er, if you ignore the leaks). Will it be the best expansion pack yet? I mean, you can turn into a freaking mermaid. From the tropical new world to its Island Living CAS (that’s Create-A-Sim, if you’re new), this expansion adds something for everyone. Let Alice guide you through the biggest and best changes to The Sims 4: Island Living.
Do note: this isn’t a The Sims 4 Island Living review, as Alice isn’t an EA Game Changer, so hasn’t had a chance to go hands-on with it herself, which she’s DEFINITELY NOT salty at all. But Alice has absorbed all the Island Living news from E3 2019, and has formed some thoughts about the new Island Living features. These are her Island Living impressions so far. Warning: she gets very excited about randomized traits, in the new Sims 4 Island Living CAS.
A visit to The Sims 4 island, called Sulani, reveals clear Polynesian vibes and influences, giving us a genuine Island feeling, and your sims are able to walk straight into the water - and maybe even turn into a mermaid in the process! MERMAIDS! If you’ve been googling Sims 4 mermaid in the hopes of finding such a thing, you are in luck. In Sims 4 Island Living mermaid is a new occult sim! There’s also the possibility of befriending a dolphin, learning how to ride on jet skis - AKA Aqua Zips - snorkelling, sunbathing.
When you get The Sims 4 Island Living download you’ll see it isn’t all sunshine and dolphins, there is some severe pollution littering the island of Sulani, but if you tidy it up, the island will surely thank you and flourish. This is where the new career, Conservationist comes into play. So we’re excited to get to the bottom of the Island Living story and really help the island come alive. But if that’s not your bag, you can pick up odd jobs here and there such as lifeguard, or diving instructor. Island Living feels like a fully thought out and fleshed out world, and we can’t wait to see some more Island Living gameplay, even more excited to do our first Island Living build with all the new Build and Buy items (loungers!).
As we said, this isn’t an Island Living review, but one will be coming when the expansion is released later this month. If you want to keep up to date with Alice’s thoughts and feelings then please do subscribe to the channel. We not only cover The Sims 4, but a whole bunch of PC games we love.
