R = clockwise turn of the Right side.
R’ = counterclockwise turn.
L = clockwise turn of the Left side.
L’ = counterclockwise turn.
U = clockwise turn of the Up or Top side.
U’ = counterclockwise turn.
D = clockwise turn of the Down or Bottom side.
D’ = counter clockwise turn.
B = clockwise turn of the Back side while facing it.
B’ = counterclockwise turn. * Remember CW & CCW is as if facing that side

A lower case letter means we turn that side and the Center layer with it, whether it be the Right, Left, Front, Back, Up, or Down.
