Empowering Dreams — 2018 Illinois Mutual Annual Report

One of the things that is most fulfilling for me personally is knowing our products help to empower dreams in the event policyowners are unable to fulfill them. We often hear that our service is differentiated. It’s because our Company objectives are different than many. We never lose sight of the fact that we are an organization about people and serving them.
As the Illinois Mutual president and chairperson, I am so proud of our team and our work to take care of the needs of our policyowners—from designing new products to processing claims. Our agents see we are still the company that is going to work hard for them, stand with them and give them personalized service and training to further their success.
2018 was a record-breaking year with the highest year-end capital and surplus. Our total invested assets and total assets were also at the highest ever level in our history and our Company is once again proud to maintain an A- (Excellent) Financial Strength Rating from A.M. Best. We are proud of our 2018 results and excited for the future!
