Human Rights - West’s Tactic to Interfere with Other Nations? | Vibhuti Jha, Arif Aajakia

The Human Rights regime in the UN is a very curious phenomenon. The International Declaration of Human Rights, 1948 was reduced to a joke by the Human Rights Commission that had to be wound up in 2005, and the present Human Rights Council is faring no better. On top of that, the cynical behaviour of the Western power in using Human Rights and the various freedoms to simply foist their narratives has reduced it to an opportunistic exercise. Freedom of Speech is used to push western media, freedom of religion to push conversion, and academic freedom to nurture western sepoys within less powerful countries. Arif Aajakia and Vibhuti Jha are hosted by Sanjay Dixit to discuss the issue in the light of the recent developments.
