Standard 11 Ch-05 Chemical Bonding 01 Maharashtra state board new syllabus Why Bond Is Formed

in this video i have explained chemical bonding in accordance with maharashtra state board . this video covers detailed explanation of reason of formation of bond , lewis and kossel theory of octet alongwith formation of ionic bond and concept of lattice energy.

A strong chemical bond is formed from the transfer or sharing of electrons between atomic centers and relies on the electrostatic attraction between the protons in nuclei and the electrons in the orbitals. The types of strong bond differ due to the difference in electronegativity of the constituent elements.

Ionic bonding is the complete transfer of valence electron(s) between atoms. It is a type of chemical bond that generates two oppositely charged ions. In ionic bonds, the metal loses electrons to become a positively charged cation, whereas the nonmetal accepts those electrons to become a negatively charged anion.
